Why not have Jesus be born as the next in a long line of Levitical priests? God did it on purpose: “When the priesthood is changed, the law must be changed also.”

You can’t take on a little bit of Moses and a little bit of Jesus. You now call upon Jesus from the tribe of Judah, someone who has no business calling himself a priest under the Law. He’s from the wrong tribe and therefore ineligible. Yet you’re calling him your High Priest. So if you’re recognizing a change in priesthood, you must be consistent and likewise recognize a change in the law.

Here’s God’s message to you through the lineage of Jesus: Go whole hog. Be consistent. Recognize Jesus as High Priest and recognize the new covenant as your only way forward!
